KW coilover suspension V3 – 86 / BRZ
The performance queen among road coilover suspensions – adjustable, sporty, high-quality.
What's inside?
-
KW coilover suspension – robust construction with stainless steel damper struts (“inox-line”> winterproof) and trapezoidal thread for uncomplicated lowering.
-
Separately adjustable rebound and compression damping: e.g., 16 clicks rebound, 12 clicks compression – allows for individual setup depending on the application (street, country road, occasional track)
-
Lowering is usually in the range of 20–50 mm at the front and 25–55 mm at the rear on the 86/BRZ.
-
Developed with motorsport technology & tested on the test bench and road – quality you can feel.
- Parts certificate (found here)
Comparison to other KW variants
| Model | Adjustability | Area of application | Special feature |
|---|---|---|---|
| V1 (Street Performance) | Lowered suspension, fixed damper settings | Everyday life & sports tour | Robust solution requiring no setup |
| V3 (Street Performance / Track-ready) | Lowering + adjustable rebound and compression damping | Everyday life with occasional track | More freedom of settings, somewhat more complex |
| V3 Clubsport / V4 Clubsport |
High-end track, advanced adjustment technology (e.g., high/low speed valves) (front) adjustable uniball top mounts |
Track tools & race track | Focus on performance, comfort secondary. |
Conclusion: If you're looking for a suspension system that's truly designed for sporty driving on the road, offers many adjustment options, but isn't yet 100% designed for the racetrack, then the V3 is exactly what you need!
✅ Advantages of the V3 in the GT86/BRZ
-
Noticeably more direct handling – especially when turning and during rapid changes of direction.
-
High-quality materials ensure durability and resilience, even during athletic use.
-
Adjustable setup: If you have, for example, fitted wider tires or made additional modifications, the suspension can be fine-tuned accordingly.
⚠️ Possible restrictions
-
Those who are purely comfort-oriented may be better served by the V1 – the V3 requires some attention during setup.
-
Maximum lowering can result in a loss of comfort – as with all coilover suspension systems.
- No camber adjustment at the front axle -> However, our camber correction bolts can help here.
🏁 Recommended use cases
-
You mainly use the 86/BRZ on the road, but want to get the maximum performance out of it and also participate in the occasional track day.
-
You want to have a lower visual appearance and improved driving dynamics – without immediately resorting to a racing setup with uniball top mounts, while still maintaining a certain level of comfort and everyday usability.
-
You value quality, durability, and a manufacturer with a motorsport background.
