GreenFuchs Gap Repair Kit Front Bumper – V2 Update

With the new V2 version, we have implemented your feedback and significantly improved the kit technically. The front now sits more stably and snugly than before.

V2 Version Enhancements

• Optimized tolerances on the metal tabs for more precise fitment

• New plastic insert for significantly stronger clamping

• Higher long-term stability due to more defined guidance and increased holding power
  Note: Due to the stronger clamping effect, the front can still be removed, but with more care. We now use a 3D printed insert, over which you must additionally slip the tabs. This insert will wear out after numerous removals and will soon be affordably available as a replacement solution. In our opinion, this is the best solution to enable a compromise between optimal hold and long-term usability.

For wide-body bumpers with missing OEM mounting points (e.g., Rocketbunny), the kit is usually not usable.

Installation Notes

• High-quality 2K epoxy adhesive is required (not included).

• Good weather facilitates curing.

• The OEM mount must be removed, and a small cut in the plastic trim of the headlight is necessary. From the outside, everything remains invisible, but the modification is permanent.

• The kit significantly improves stability in practice, but does not replace completely destroyed or heavily warped bumper mounts.

For facelift models, an adjustment of the adhesive plates and a slight bending of the holder are necessary. The current version does not fit the facelift model! We are working on a dedicated facelift version. Until then, this kit can also be a good basis for those who enjoy tinkering.

For front bumpers of, for example, widebody kits (e.g., Rocketbunny), this kit usually does not fit due to the lack of original mounting points.

Here you will find our installation instructions. You will also need a reliable adhesive for the adhesive inserts (not included). We recommend 2K epoxy adhesive and good weather for the adhesive to cure. Here is the English version.

Please also note that for the installation of this kit, you must remove the original mount and cut into the plastic trim of the headlight. Both are not visible from the outside – but they are significant and not directly reversible modifications.

The kit cannot work miracles! A defective mount on the bumper or one that is simply bent due to age will not be 100% repaired by this kit. With the insert on the bumper, it does help, but it is not a guarantee that it will look like new. Generally, from experience, we would say that in a good 90% of all cases, we can achieve a significant improvement with the kit, but unfortunately not everywhere. Also, the final adjustment is elemental and simply painstaking work.
