GreenFuchs Gap Repair Kit for Front Bumper – V2 Update

With the new V2 version, we've implemented your feedback and significantly improved the set technically. The front panel now sits more stably, tightly, and consistently than before.

New features of version 2

• Optimized tolerances on the sheet metal tabs for a more precise fit

• New plastic insert for significantly stronger clamping

• Greater long-term stability through more defined guidance and increased holding power
  Note : Due to the stronger clamping action, the front panel can still be removed, but with more care. We now use a 3D-printed insert, over which you must additionally fit the tabs. This insert will wear down after numerous disassemblies and will soon be available as an inexpensive replacement part. In our opinion, this is the best solution to achieve a compromise between optimal hold and long-term usability.

The kit is usually not usable with widebody bumpers that lack OEM mounting points (e.g., Rocketbunny).

Assembly instructions

• A high-quality 2K epoxy adhesive is required (not included).

• Good weather facilitates the hardening process.

• The OEM mount must be removed, and a small cut is also required in the plastic surround of the headlight. From the outside, everything remains invisible, but the modification is permanent.

• The kit noticeably improves stability in practice, but does not replace completely destroyed or severely warped bumper mounts.

For the facelift models, the adhesive mounting plates need to be adjusted and the bracket slightly bent. The current version is not compatible with the facelift model! We are working on a separate facelift version. Until then, this kit can serve as a good starting point for DIY enthusiasts.

This kit usually does not fit front bumpers of widebody kits (e.g., Rocketbunny) due to the lack of original mounting points.

Here you will find our assembly instructions . You will also need a reliable adhesive for the adhesive inserts (not included). We recommend using a two-component epoxy adhesive and good weather conditions to allow the adhesive to cure properly. Here is the English version.

Please also note that to install this kit, you will need to remove the original mount and cut into the plastic surround of the headlight. Neither of these modifications will be visible from the outside, but they are significant and not easily reversible.

The kit can't work miracles! A damaged or simply bent mounting point on the bumper won't be repaired 100% by this kit. The insert on the bumper does help, but it's no guarantee that it will look brand new. Generally, based on our experience, we would say that we can achieve a significant improvement with the kit in about 90% of all cases, but unfortunately not everywhere. Adjusting the final fit is also essential and simply requires some patience.
