GreenFuchs – 10-row oil cooler with thermostats (80 °C & 90 °C)
Efficient oil cooling for highway/track driving as well as demanding everyday use.
Technical specifications
-
Massive 10-row aluminum cooler
-
Interchangeable thermostats (80°C & 90°C) for precise temperature control (included, swappable in 5 minutes). This allows you to switch between "Sport" (80°C maximum cooling for early cooling) and "Daily" (90°C later cooling to bring the car up to temperature) as needed. Exclusively available from us, because we know that Toyubarus rarely have just one purpose ;)
-
2 sensor connections (NPT 1/8) for analog oil temperature or oil pressure sensors (e.g. for P3 display; sensors not included)
-
Two versions: with or without air deflector – to choose according to requirements and installation position
Why air deflectors are crucial
Air deflectors optimize cooling performance by directing the airflow precisely through the radiator channel – instead of simply allowing it to pass by to the side. The result: under high load (highway driving, cornering, winding roads), the oil temperature remains stable, even at low speeds and in warm ambient conditions.
Without such guide vanes, a lot of air can escape without doing anything – the cooler works less efficiently, and the temperature rises unnecessarily .
Why this is important for your GT86/BRZ
Oil temperatures exceeding 110°C are well-known in the FA20/FA24 boxer engine under high load – especially when using only low-viscosity 0W-20 oil. Even 5W-30 offers only limited relief. Exceeding 120°C reduces viscosity and consequently lubrication performance, significantly increasing the risk of engine damage. Engine failures following extended highway driving or track sessions with high oil temperatures are particularly common in this model, highlighting the importance of an oil cooler.
✅ Advantages at a glance
-
Thermostatically controlled cooling – precisely prevents undercooling and effectively protects
-
Air deflector option – ensures defined airflow through the radiator – more effective at medium and high speeds
-
Sensor-ready – external connections compatible with P3 Display & Co.
Recommendation
Whether on long motorway journeys, sporty country road chasers or on the racetrack – anyone who wants to keep their oil temperature in safe ranges will find here a thoroughly high-quality system with real effectiveness in everyday and sporting use.
Here you will find the assembly instructions for the Plus version with air deflectors and here for the Lite version without air deflectors .
Differences between Lite and Plus versions
The Lite and Plus versions use the same core components (sandwich plate, oil cooler, hoses, and fittings). The only difference lies in the air deflectors and mounting, and therefore also in the hose length.
The Plus oil cooler is located on the far outside, in front of the air conditioning condenser, and is mounted on the side and top. The Lite version, on the other hand, is connected more centrally and simply attached from above with a simpler bracket. Both versions are also compatible with other intakes, such as the Greddy intake snorkel.
